During your internship, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youth and receive hands-on lessons in nonprofit program and operation development.

Descriptions:

Development/Events Intern

This internship will provide practical, hands-on experience in the area of marketing and public relations, fund-raising, sponsorship development, and special events planning. This position requires good computer and organizational skills and ideal candidates must be able to work with both loose supervision and as part of a team. Will report to the Development Team.

 

The Development Intern’s day-to-day duties will include:

  • Managing social networking sites
  • Writing press releases
  • Researching new national marketing avenues
  • Grant research
  • Current donor management
  • Create new sponsorship opportunities
  • Special event coordination
  • Student registration
  • Maintain equipment inventory
  • Entry of program data into the online database 

  

Youth Programs Intern

The position will be split between field and office responsibilities. Field days will consist of coordinating youth groups from various regional youth agencies. Will report to regional Program Director.

 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Provide resources for youth
  • Coordinate program details
  • Collecting participant data
  • Collecting participant demographics
  • Training staff
  • Registering students
  • Maintain equipment inventory
  • Entry of program data into the online
  • Assistance with marketing
  • Organizing special events

  

Qualifications: Ideal interns must present themselves professionally, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate excellent communication and motivational skills. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
