Tahoe participants cooling off on a summer raft trip
See our Career Program in action! From site visits, to skills-based workshops, to jobs in the outdoor industry, SOS youth have grown so much this summer both personally and professionally.
If you want to explore opportunities in the industry, check out careers with our partner, Vail Resorts.
Meet Lucy (pictured right)!
Lucy has been working at Vail Mountain’s Product Sales and Services Office. “I really like working at Vail,” she says, “everyone is so nice and helpful.”
Although Lucy has plans to Colorado Mountain College to become an elementary school teacher, she says she’s grateful to have had this professional experience, “I’ve gotten to learn a lot and it’s been cool to see the other side of being on the mountain aside from riding in the winter.”
Meet Alicia!
This summer, Alicia has been working at the Northstar California mid-mountain lodge assisting with Vail Resorts’ #EpicPromise sustainability efforts.
“I’ve been able to learn a lot through this job and I’m thankful to have a manager who has made this a really positive experience for me. I feel like people here really want to help me succeed.” – Alicia
