Happy December! We hope the start of your month has been full of family, friends, joy, and maybe a couple ski turns too.
You may or may not have noticed that it's been a little while since our last Inside the Circle newsletter. We've switched to a quarterly cadence so that we can give you the highest quality program updates (and hopefully free up some space in your inbox too).
In between our quarterly updates, we will send news relevant to our different communities via location-specific emails (sign-up here for your community).
Now with housekeeping out of the way, let's get to it. There's been a lot going on in the world of SOS, so be sure take a peek below to see all the latest happenings across the circle. And in the meantime, don't forget to... Spread the Love! |

Meet Veronica! Veronica is a Seattle alum and in their final semester pursuing BFA in Industrial Design at the California College of the Arts. We recently approached Veronica asking them to bring our mantra of "Spread the Love" to life in the form of a custom designed sticker. And they did just that.
Now through Dec. 31, you can Spread the Love by making a gift of $30 or more and receive this one-of-a-kind creation! |

It’s official! The 31st season of SOS Outreach is on.
Huge props to our program team who is launching on-snow programs across our communities.
Together, we are on target to engage 3,200 kids across 15 locations and 24 mountains during the 24.25 season. Programs have been running for a while with service days, workshops, equipment nights, and mentor connections. This is the next phase of our work and we are grateful to be walking with an incredible community that makes days like this possible.

Parents on the slopes at Northstar |
For over 30 years, SOS has helped tens of thousands of young people feel belonging in mountains. But for many of their parents, the mountains have remained out of reach due to a multitude of barriers.
Last year, SOS in partnership with Vail Resorts' Epic Promise hosted it's first ever parent ride day at Beaver Creek in Colorado. With an outpouring of enthusiasm and attendance, SOS has expanded this unique opportunity to North Lake Tahoe and Park City this season.
Just last weekend, participants' parents headed up to mountain for their first-experience sliding on snow. Check out our most recent blog article for the full-story and to hear from parents what it meant to have this experience. |

Five driven SOS alumni teamed up with Nordica and Christy Sports to design and bring to market a custom limited edition ski!
These skis were refined and enhanced based on key insights from the initial collaboration in 2022. Using Nordica’s top-selling model, the Enforcer, our alumni maintained its core design while making subtle, yet important modifications to incorporate the spirit of SOS Outreach.

We wrapped up a successful Live PC Give PC, Colorado Gives Day, and are still actively fundraising for Give Back Tahoe. We still have $117,000 to raise by Dec. 31 across our 15 communities.
Give the gift of belonging this giving season and sponsor a youth in your community. |
