It's all about Impact
Since 1993, SOS has been dedicated to offering equal opportunities to young individuals in our communities. Our participants are optimistic, resilient, and willing to put in the effort. Despite any social, societal, or economic barriers that may exist, our youth can succeed if given the appropriate opportunities.
At SOS, we take pride in being a part of that support system and making a positive impact – and we’re humbled by the numbers we can share with you today. We are changing the lives of youth in our communities year after year, one by one, by offering programs that teach them to reach for their limitless potential.

Benefits Beyond the Slopes
We have a 61% retention rate for youth in our mentor program who return year after year. This is because the benefits extend beyond the slopes, enabling our youth to develop positive relationships and a sense of belonging, enhance self-regulation through social-emotional learning skills, cultivate strong character by applying core values, and engage in community service.
This year, 48 alumni re-engaged with SOS programs as either volunteers or staff members.

Last year was fun and I love getting an opportunity again…this year, I want to go on the big hill by myself because SOS taught me to believe in myself and I don’t have to be scared.
