Faces of SOS
For the first time ever, SOS is bringing a collection of stories and pictures straight from our participants and volunteers to a location near you! The traveling Faces of SOS gallery exhibit's first stop is in Seattle - stay tuned for details about a visit near you in the coming months.
On September 18, SOS Outreach is partnering with Evo to bring you an exclusive, in-depth look into the impact of our sports based youth development program.
SOS is a nonprofit serving at-risk youth through adventure sports and positive adult mentorship. SOS exposes youth to new outdoor adventures including skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing. Along the way, SOS helps youth build healthy, active lifestyles through service learning projects, goal-setting, life skills workshops, core values, and positive adult mentors. As a result, kids who would otherwise be struggling to overcome the challenges they face are on a trajectory for long term success.
But don't take our word for it - join us at Faces of SOS to hear their stories for yourself.
The Gallery Show will feature high quality portraits alongside written testimony from participants and volunteers. A few Pacific Northwest participants will also be attending to share their stories in person.
We will be serving drinks and dessert throughout the event for your enjoyment. We will also be raffling some great items from our corporate sponsors including a Ride Snowboard, Woodland Park Zoo passes, and a one year family membership to the Mountaineers! $20 suggested donation, tickets also available at the door.
